Milestone

  • 1982 -Neonatal service 1st started.
  • 1999- Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) established.
  • 2009- Established as Department of Neonatology.
  • 2017-Starting of three-year training for FCPS (Neonatology)
  • 2022- Starting of MD Residency (Neonatology)

Mission and Vision:

  • Dedicated to provide evidence based level 3 care for newborns, with special focus on premature and critically ill infants
  • Committed to reducing neonatal morbidity and mortality through quality clinical services, research and training.
  • Striving to become a centre of excellence in neonatal care in Bangladesh, setting the highest standards in service, education and innovation.
